Calling all tennis players - Geddington needs you.

After two "shock" defeats in the East Northants league the Geddington Men's team is in dire need of fresh blood.


Geddington continue slow start to the season!

Another tough match for Geddington played last Wednesday in the Corby Bubble. Probably the two toughest matches of the season out the way. Holland and Love struggled to make any headway against very strong opponents. They lost the first rubber 6-1, 6-0 and then the second 6-2, 6-0.


First Men's Match of Season Ends in Defeat!

The Geddington Men's team played Kettering A team last  Tuesday night away at Kettering. Always a tough match this one was no exception.


Geddington B still in 2nd place in East Northants Tennis Div II

With all the tables up to date Geddington B are still hanging on to second place just behind Thrapston C who are yet to be beaten. However there are three other teams ( Burton B, Corby B and Finedon A) who have games in hand and will be challenging for the top positions.


Clean sweep for B team against Thrapston B

L Holland & Bill Worswick beat Luke Redgueil and Gary Felce 6-1, 6-1 although the sets were closer than the scoreline suggests. Gary, 68, put up a sterling performance which belied his age. Luke also put in a good performance and this young player shows great promise.


Geddington A manage to take a set off Kettering A!

Last Friday will go down as a red letter day in Geddington A's recent history (long gone are the days when Geddington could win the Division I title in successive years) as Graham Love and Paul Rowden managed to finally take a set off last year's champions Kettering A.


B team claim second victory of the season

Geddington B team put in a great performance under blustery conditions to beat Corby B 6-2 on Wednesday at home.


Geddington B suffer first defeat of the season

Thrapston 'C' pair in action

Geddington 'B' narrowly lost to Thrapston 'C' by 5 sets to 3 on Friday night. The match was all square after the first rubber with the Geddington first pair Colwill and Love beating Hossack and Kirk 6-2, 6-2.


Geddington A narrowly beaten by a strong Thrapston B side

Last night saw Geddington A play there first match of the season in which they lost by 5 sets to 3. The honours would have been shared if the Geddington first pair (Love & Colwill) had not thrown away a 5-1 lead in their match against the Thrapston first pair losing the set 7-5.
